Kepler's laws, Newton's law of gravitation
Kepler's laws
1.The orbit of a planet is an ellipse with the Sun at one focus of the ellipse.
2.A planet revolving about the Sun sweeps out equal areas in equal time intervals.
3.The square of the period of a planet is proportional to the cube of the semi-major axis of its ellipical orbit.
Newton's law of gravitation states that the gravitational force of attraction between two bodies is proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.
