Separable differential equation

The variables of a differential equation are separable if the equation can be written in the form f(x) dx + g(y) dy = 0.

Alternate form: The variables of a differential equation are separable if the equation can be written in the form MATH

A differential equation is said to be separable if its variables are separable.
