Parallelepiped, Scalar triple product

The combination MATH of dot and cross products is called the scalar triple product$.$

The volume of the parallelepiped spanned by three vectors $\QTR{bf}{u}$, $\QTR{bf}{v}$, and $\QTR{bf}{w}$ is equal to the absolute value of the scalar triple product: MATH.
